We learned that Ed (remember him?) is still among the living. He showed up (2 hours late), and graced us with his presence! We also learned that we are masters of the bunny trail! We got off on a tangent about Sheol and what happened to Jesus between His death and resurrection, and I'm still stuck on it today! I suspect we haven't heard the last of this. Linda was extremely well prepared and did a great job.
Haha, that about sums it up... We also Discussed hour our encouragement/comfort in Christ should have levels- first we have communion and love from Christ which encourages US, then we share that as we have unity in the body among believers and encourage ONE ANOTHER, and then this spills over in love for the OTHERS around us outside the church. Speaking of encouragement, does anyone know of an encouraging verse I can give my Dad- he asked me to help him find one for a new believer at work that is battling cancer, that he could give him to comfort/encourage him. Any ideas?
